Grammar Note: Talking About Frequency in Spanish

When we want to ask how often something happens, we use the question:

<aside> 🗓️ ¿Cada cuánto...?

How often...?

</aside>

 ¿**Cada cuánto** lavas la ropa?
 *How often do you wash your clothes?*

 ¿Vas al gimnasio? ¿**Cada cuánto?**
 D*o you go to the gym? How often?*

To reply, we can use the following structure:

<aside> 🗓️ *****number ***+ vez/veces + a + el/la + **unit of time

</aside>

 Una **vez a** **la** semana.
 *One time (once) a week.*

** Dos veces a la semana. Two times (twice) a week.

 Tres **veces al** día.
 *Three times a day.*
